Lillian E. McCoy, 87, of the Martin Luther Home passed away Thursday June 19, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Lillian was born in Fulton, NY on July 31, 1920 the daughter of James and Edith (Johnson) Hawthorn. On July 5, 1947 in Lake Placid, NY Lillian married John R. McCoy, Jr. a blessed union of 47 years until his passing in 1994. Lillian is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law; Judith Paone, MN and Sharon and David Spencer, Liverpool, NY, three sons and two daughters-in-law; Charles and Gloria Lewis, MN, Richard Lewis, MO and William and Jacquelyn McCoy, New Hartford, a former son-in-law; Sal Paone, 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A memorial funeral mass for Mrs. McCoy will be held on Friday June 27, 2008 at 9:00 at St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society in Lillian's memory.
