Edward A. Romanowski, 72, of Utica, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare. Edward was born in Utica, on May 5, 1948, a son of Frank and Catherine (Gudyka) Romanowski. He was educated locally graduating from UFA and MVCC. In Utica on May 16, 1998, he was united in marriage to Judith Szalkowski. Through the years he was employed at Chicago Pneumatic, EMT with Gold Star Ambulance, G. E. in Syracuse, Crouse Hines in Syracuse and Tech Corp. He was a motorcycle and boat enthusiast and an avid animal lover. Edward is survived by his wife, Judith; a daughter, Laura (Philip) Broccoli, New Hartford; a sister, Kathy (Steve) Tallman, Syracuse; a brother-in-law, David (Elaine) Szalkowski; three nieces, Danielle (Jason) Wallace and son, Ander, Amanda (Jim) Doxtator and Stephanie Tallman; special cousins, Donna and Vinny Alexander; special friends, Mary Bolton, Steve and Judy Humphrey, Gail and Donnie Lewis and Molly, and canine companions, Aries and Neiko and his feline companion, Spookala. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Romanowski, Jr. and his canine companions, Benji and Leo and feline companion, Heckle. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Edward will be put to rest with his canine companion Leo. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society.
