Donte Levar Harris, passed away on September 14, 2021 at the age of 23. Donte was born on August 13, 1998, the son of Marvin Harris and Chanda (Henry) Harris. Donte was a very quiet and laid-back person who loved bringing up, old, funny memories, that he had with people, just to make them laugh. He was very humble and one of the most loyal people you ever met. Donte loved to be around his family, and though he wasn’t the type of person to have a lot of friends, if you were close to Donte, you were family. Donte loved his little sisters and they were attached to him as well. He was a mama’s boy and started to build a strong bond with his father these past couple years. Donte always made sure the people he loved and was around, were always OK. Donte is now in God’s hands with his little brother, Tyrell Harris. He will be missed and loved by all of his family and friends. Donte is survived by his mother, Chanda Harris; father, Marvin Harris; his eight brothers and sisters, Anthony Reed, Delonzo Harris, Shaniya Harris, Marvin Harris, Jr., Shyreak Harris, Shamara Harris, Chade House and Emasia House; grandmothers, Olean Lang and Florence Dombrowski: aunt's Lawanda Green, Patricia Green, Ranee Grover, Angel Edmonson: uncles, Arthur Henry, Nathaniel Henry, Tyrone Henry and Derrick Edmonson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Tyrell and grandfathers, Arthur Henry and Cleveland Highsmith. Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at the conclusion of visitation. Donte will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica.
