Caitlin M. Hughlett, 30, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly at Rome Memorial Hospital. Caitlin was born in Rome, NY at Griffiss Air Force Base on August 6, 1991 the daughter of Richard Aichner and Erin Champine Inserra. She was educated in Whitesboro school district. She was employed as a security guard with Allied Universal and before that Turning Stone Casino. Caitlin loved camping in Old Forge and visiting Enchanted Water Safari. Her life revolved around her daughter Isabelle which was the apple of her eye. Caitlin is survived by her loved daughter Isabelle Hughlett, her mother and step father Erin and Peter Inserra, her father and step mother Richard and Michelle Aichner, step daughter Zayonna Hughlett, sister Jessica Cooley and her husband Brian, Utica, two half brothers Aiden and Riley Aichner, Juneau, AK., Maternal Grandfather Garry Champine, Sherrill, NY., step grandfather John Kulik, Paternal Grandparents Charles Aichner and his wife Donna, Chittenango, NY., She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Diane C. Champine. Visitation for family and friends will held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 1-3PM at Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY. 13502. A funeral service will be on Monday morning March 7, 2022 at 10:30AM from the funeral home with Deacon Richard Prusko officiating. Burial will take place Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. The family will be gathering after the burial, invite any that would like to attend to share memories and food at the Oriskany Legion Post #1448, 7908 NY 69, Oriskany, NY. 13424.
