Obituary of Susan A. Glinski

Mrs. Susan A. Glinski, 76, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital, Utica with her loving family at her side.

     She was born in Potsdam, NY, on January 31, 1948, the daughter of the late Donald and Joanne (Goodnough) Macintosh.  She was raised in Chadwick’s and graduated from Chadwick’s High School.  On April 20, 1968, Susan was united in marriage to Donald S. Glinski, a blessed union of 56 years.  Susan at various times was employed at Tehan’s, Utica, and Masonic Home, Utica, as an office administrator.  She worked at the Boston Store where she met her true love, Donald, and also at Joanne Fabrics where she fulfilled her passion for sewing and crafts.  Susan spent many years volunteering for the American Diabetes Association and enjoyed league bowling as a hobby. She was a talented baker and avid reader, but most of all she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Susan is survived by her daughters Heather Gasparinatos, Herkimer, Amber Chapple and her husband Shawn, Deerfield, sisters Christine Stewart, Virginia Beach, VA, Diane Armstrong, Whitesboro, Julie Dillenbeck and her husband Douglas, Sauquoit, NY, loving grandchildren Nicholas, Devon, Demetrius, Olivia, Christos, Giulianna, Gabriella, Shawn, Ariana, adored greatgrandchildren Zachary, Anastasia, Sophia, Demi and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Donald, Joanne and a brother Donald Macintosh.

     Visitation for family and friends is Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 5PM-7PM at the Heintz Funeral Service, Inc. 408 Herkimer Road, Utica, NY, followed by family and friends sharing memories and reflections of Susan.  She will be laid to rest privately and at the convenience of the family.
