Obituary of Michele D. Barber

    Michele D. (Nash) Barber, born on August 6, 1956, in Cape May, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her home in Rome, New York, on January 18, 2025.

    Michele was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jeffrey L. Barber, and her son, Jeffrey L. Nash. She is lovingly remembered by her ten children: Lekita Stenson, Nikki Ashley, Tara Mason, Joseph Barber, Jason Barber, Elsie Barber, Joel Barber, Jeriah Barber, and Jonathan Barber. Michele’s legacy also includes 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

     A woman of deep faith, Michele found joy in attending church services and participating in Bible studies. She was passionate about supporting the youth in her community and dedicated herself to helping others grow spiritually.

     Services to honor Michele’s life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, New York 13502. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
